On December 9th, booj participated in the Arapahoe County Foster Parent Association’s (ACFPA) 9th Annual Holiday Party. The ACFPA is an incorporated, non-profit association started over 20 years ago to assist foster, adoptive and kinship families with their unique needs. In addition to providing a clothing bank and support throughout the year, ACFPA hosts this event every holiday season for the more 600 children in the organization.

Wanting to give back to local children in need, booj gave a monetary donation to ACFPA in addition to volunteering at the annual event. This event is run primarily on donations and, with the help of volunteers, offers an opportunity for many of the children to receive a holiday gift.

The theme of this year’s event was Carnival Christmas. There were hot dogs, chili, nachos, cotton candy, sno-cones and plenty of entertainment for the children. Many services were donated to the event as well including bouncy castles, children games and a DJ.

We had a lot of fun at the event and enjoyed watching all of the children enjoying the holiday season. This was the first year we have participated in this event, but are excited for new ways that we’ll be able to assist in years to come.
